Historic Fourth Ward School Museum presents 'Steppin’ Back in Time, Steampunk Soiree!' fundraiser
VIRGINIA CITY — Don't miss the Historic Fourth Ward School Museum's 6th Annual “Steppin' Back in Time” fundraiser event: A Steampunk Soiree! Join us as we "step back" to the 1860’s -1890’s — a time of invention and innovation as we explore the marvels of technology and many ‘firsts’ that sprung up from the Comstock mining.
Explore Comstock history and culture while helping to support the Fourth Ward School Museum! This fundraiser helps as the foremost means of funding to help support the Museum and it’s historic 1876-built building, proudly known as “Last One Standing.”
The event will have a special guest presentation by Virginia City historian Joe Curtis, who will dazzle guests with his talk on the inventions and innovations made in Virginia City & the Comstock mining region of the 1800s. There will also be an Antique Printing Press demo/activity led by Asa Gilmore. Come dressed in your finest Steampunk-themed garb, because there will also be a vintage photo-op at the event.
You're not going to want to miss this chance to "step back in time" at the Fourth Ward School Museum! Performing music at the event will be Moxy Ruckus Duo with their country western rock stylings.
Tickets for the event are $55 for members of the Museum and $65 general admission. Tickets are available via the following link: https://steppin-back-2023.eventbrite.com
