He will be lobbying on behalf of Compassion & Choices for medical aid-in-dying legislation due to be introduced during the 81st session, which begins February 1st. The bill gives terminally ill people with six months or less to live the option of taking medicine to end their life peacefully.

Further information on formal charging of Brittany Miller will be updated in the near future.

On January 6, 2021 the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office ended a three-week investigation into the death of Jason Kaspian. Kaspian was found dead in his Vista Grande Drive apartment on Dec. 19, 2020 of a suspected overdose.

Carson City health officials fight two battles: one against COVID-19, another against misinformation

Even as restaurants and bars were reopened, daily positive cases were generally staying within single digits inside the Quad-County region.
However, between October and December, both test positivity rates as well as overall cases — and deaths — have seen a massive increase. Local health organizations are now not only fighting against the disease, but against misinformation campaigns as well.

The individual was a Lyon County resident. We are also reporting 124 new cases and 3 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County Region. This brings the total number of cases to 4,893, with 2,413 recoveries and 34 deaths; 2,446 cases remain active.
