The Rotary Club of Carson City has donated over 800 air purifiers to Carson City teachers to help with the stress of being in the classroom during COVID-19.

Carson City, Quad area COVID-19 Wednesday briefing: 19 new cases, 10 recoveries

Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting 19 new cases and 10 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County region on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020. This brings the total number of cases to 1,323, with 1,220 recoveries and 16 deaths, 87 cases remain active.

Quad County, Carson City COVID-19 Tuesday update: 7 new cases, 12 recoveries

Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020 that there are seven new cases and 12 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. This brings the total number of cases to 1,304, with 1,210 recoveries and sixteen deaths, 78 cases remain active.

Boys & Girls Club offers back to school activities, learning programs for Carson City area kids

As the 2020-21 school year continues, the Boys & Girls Club of Western Nevada is packed with learning programs and exciting activities for kids of all ages.

The Carson City location at 1870 Russell Way is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with dozens of hands-on programs. Spots inside the building are limited to 135 kids each day, but countless activities will be held throughout the year.

Carson City School District reports three new COVID-19 cases, one at Carson High School

The Carson City School District reported an additional three positive COVID-19 cases. Two of the persons work in the transportation department with a connection to the previously reported case.

Those employees previously identified will continue to quarantine for the recommended isolation period, and transportation services will resume as soon as possible (at the earliest, Sept. 22, but possibly longer if more employees test positive).

The third confirmed case is an individual at Carson High School.
