September 15, 2022 - 5:00pm The Nature Conservancy in Nevada and Sierra Nevada Journeys will host a Family STEM Night and Open House from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 15 at River Fork Ranch Preserve, 381 Genoa Lane, Minden.
Nevada State Museum hosts Family Weekend

July 14, 2012 (All day) Spend a Saturday with the family and discover Nevada reptiles at the Nevada State Museum, in a hands-on nature program for kids of the ages 6 – 11. Of course, the parents have their own scientific duty as well; as the kids take on experiments with nature, parents will use microscopes and specimens in a lab setting. Activities will also include creating and painting a lizard or a snake model.
Adult admission is $8, free for museum members and children 17 and under. This event will take place on Saturday, July 14, from 1 P.M. to 3 P.M. at the Nevada State Museum, 600 N. Carson.
