Business growth picks up on South Carson

We had heard rumors of recent activity at the never-opened Sportsman's Warehouse store in the Southgate Center on South Carson Street.

And now, it looks like there will be a new Big Lots store moving in this fall.

While a discount closeout store isn't exactly the kind of high-end (or medium-end) store residents might have been hoping for, it's better than an empty storefront.

New Michael Hohl auto dealerships open

I was gone for part of last week, and I missed that the new Michael Hohl Honda and Subaru auto dealerships on South Carson opened up on Monday. Looks like the Nevada Appeal missed it as well, at least as far as their website is concerned. Hopefully the addition will add some new sales tax revenue to Carson City's coffers.

It's Time to Get off The Bitch Train, Folks!

Yes folks, it’s time to get off the bitch train! What do I mean? We have gone though one of the worse economic periods since the Second World War. However, most of the shakers and movers of the business world would agree that it looks like that we might be seeing the first signs of an end this period. So in a funny twist, this might be the best time for you to start your business.
I got the term "It's Time to get off The Bitch Train" From Garry Vaynerchuk http://garyvaynerchuk.com or his slightly easier to pronounce his Internet name
"Garry Vee."

Defunct Businesses, Abandoned Records Threat to Data Security

With the faltering economy, many businesses are shutting their doors – and sometimes improperly disposing of their records, putting their former customers at risk for identity theft. Examples from just the past month include:

•In late May, two decades’ worth of customer records from a recently closed boat company in Portland, Oregon, were discovered in a dumpster. The records contained personal information, including Social Security numbers, according to Portland television station KGW, which had received a tip about the abandoned records.

History of planet

The idea of planets has evolved over its history, from the divine wandering stars of antiquity to the earthly objects of the scientific age. The concept has expanded to include worlds not only in the Solar System, but in hundreds of other extrasolar systems. The ambiguities inherent in defining planets have led to much scientific controversy.

Self Storage VS Professional Records Management

A mini storage is good for some things but not your vital business records.

Just a few good reasons why businesses shouldn't store their records in a ministorage:

1. It's a poor environment for paper documents
2. Inefficient- documents get lost too easily
3. Time consuming - it takes too long to find the document you need
4. Records Retention- Documents are kept too long because nobody had the time to go through them
5. Rents are too expensive

Now there's a better solution in Carson City!
