Submitted by editor on Thu, 04/19/2012 - 5:12pmThe soaring atrium of the Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center at the University of Nevada, Reno, which housed a 9.5-foot tree made entirely of old books during the holiday season, is now the site of another display using recycled goods. In celebration of Earth Day, Knowledge Center employees have erected a 7-feet-tall, 8-feet-wide “N,” constructed with 1,580 recycled water bottles collected in the center’s recycling receptacles.

We will be featuring rocks, gems, healing arts, vendors, delicious tacos and belly dancing. Raffles prizes will be given away every 15 minutes.
Only $1 admission and kids 12 and under are free.
Proceeds to benefit Esperanza Foundation, a non-profit corporation dedicated to healing PTSD.

A public lecture on Thursday at the Tahoe Center for Environmental Sciences will address some of what has been found.
