Carson City Sheriff's Arrest Log: Man jailed for drawing weapon, resisting police

A 32 year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday evening at 6:29 p.m. on a misdemeanor warrant for resisting a law enforcement officer and drawing a weapon in a threatening manner, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy arrest report stated.

Officers responded to a call in the 200 block of West Caroline Street on report of a suicidal subject, who had called the Veterans Crisis Center stating he was going to kill himself with a knife.

Emergency dispatch reported the subject to have an outstanding arrest warrant out of Lyon County on weapons charges and resisting a police officer.

Deputies knocked on the subject door and sought cover because dispatch was unable to call to the inside of the residence, the report said.

When the subject opened the door, deputies had their weapons drawn and instructed him to to exit the residence. The subject was compliant with law enforcement commands and handcuffed, the report said.

Deputies interviewed the subject on scene. He appeared highly intoxicated, according to the arrest report, and later gave preliminary breath test of .160 percent breath alcohol content.

The subject reported he felt very suicidal and was suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), hearing women screaming and wanting to kill other people.

No firearms were located on the subject or in a search of the residence. He was transported to Carson City Jail. Bail: $2,475.

In other arrests:

— A 24 year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday morning at 8:53 a.m. for misdemeanor domestic battery.

According to the arrest report, Carson City Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the 2700 block of South Carson Street for a report of domestic battery.

Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the female victim, who reported her boyfriend had battered her that morning because she had been out all night the night before.

An argument ensued, the victim stated, and the suspect then grabbed her and tackled her to the floor. The victim reported that as she fell, her back hit a portion of a television stand in the room.

The victim later gathered her son and left for the manager's office where she called police.

Officers observed a three-inch scratch on the victim's chin and raised red mark about two inches long on the left side of her lower back.

Deputies went to the room to speak with the suspect, who was no longer there. But he was later spotted by a nearby business. The suspect complied when confronted by deputies. He was arrested and transported to the Carson City Jail without incident. Bail: $3,000.

— A 27 year-old Carson City woman was arrested Friday morning at 11:19 a.m. for felony possession of a controlled substance and multiple misdemeanor violations having to do with possession of drug paraphernalia and an outstanding warrant out of the Carson City Justice Court, the arrest report states.

Kelli Ann Davis was taken into custody by Carson City Sheriff's deputies in the 3100 block of North Carson Street after they responded to a call for a welfare check on a female possibly trying to overdose with drugs.

Dispatch confirmed an outstanding misdemeanor warrant out of Carson City Justic Court for Davis on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Upon making contact with Davis and another woman in the room, deputies observed the suspect to be holding something in a closed hand and would not show it to officers. She was placed under arrest for the warrant, and while standing up she placed what was in her hand in a front sweater pocket, the arrest report said.

She was then placed in handcuffs. A search of the suspect upon arrest discovered a bag of white crystal substance, later identified as methamphetamine, the report said, located in the front sweater pocket.

The suspect insisted the meth was not hers, and began to yell this at deputies. She was escorted to a patrol vehicle and later transported to Carson City Jail.

During a search of the residence, deputies discovered a glass pipe wrapped in a white towel on the bed where the suspect had been sitting and a glass bong located in a partially opened night stand. A piece of foil containing a burnt black substance later identified as heroin.

The other woman in the room was interviewed, and she reported the drugs and paraphernalia belonged to the suspect.

The suspect was then transported to the Carson City Jail without further incident. Bail: $2,500.

— A 33 year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday morning at 4:59 a.m. for felony parole and probation violation, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy arrest report shows.

The arresting deputy had been dispatched to a downtown Carson City business on report of an intoxicated subject that was sleeping inside. The cab company called to transport him had refused to take the subject because of his intoxication.

The deputy made contact with the subject, Nicolas Parkhurst, who was observed to smell strongly of alcohol. He slurred his words and was unable to answer basic questions while trying to sleep in a chair.

Dispatched advised the deputy that Parkhurst was on active parole and probation with a no alcohol clause. Parole and probation requested Parkhurst be arrested for violation of his conditions.

Parkhurst refused a preliminary breath test, and was taken into custody and transported to the Carson City Jail without incident. No bail.

— A 27 year-old Carson City man was arrested early Saturday morning at 12:09 a.m. in the area of North Carson and Telegraph streets on a felony parole and probation violation, the arrest report shows.

Matthew Premo was taken into custody after a Carson City Sheriff's deputy was dispatched to Carson and Telegraph streets on report of battery, the victim of which along with multiple witnesses identified Premo as the suspect.

Dispatched advised the deputy of the suspect's status in alternative sentencing with a no alcohol clause. Premo was also on state level probation, dispatch reported to the deputy.

Premo submitted to a preliminary breath test showing .251 breath alcohol content. Alternative sentencing placed two violation charges against Premo. He was arrested and transported to Carson City Jail without incident. Bail for misdemeanor two-time violation of alternative sentencing conditions: $3,000.
