New Column: Faith Hope Love of Northern Nevada lends helping hand to those in need

Hello Community! I want to take a minute to introduce myself. My name is Cassidy Davis and I am the owner of Northern Nevada HotSpot as well as the founder of a local organization, Faith Hope Love of Northern Nevada. I created my business as well as my organization to help bless the lives of those in our local Northern Nevada communities. I use to wonder what my life purpose was and how I could help to make a difference. I tried a few things here and there, but never felt I was really doing anything that truly blessed anyone.

One day while I was in Reno I started to notice all of the homeless people around town as I drove around running my errands. I started to wonder who would help them and why no one was, or were they? I honestly had no clue. I drove about an hour home that evening with the thought still fresh in my mind, but went to bed and did not give it another thought for the night. A few days later the thoughts came back to me and I asked myself what I was doing to help them, how could I even help them?

All at once the idea for Faith Hope Love of Northern Nevada came to me. I was already running Northern Nevada HotSpot and blessing families in need such as cancer patients, accident victims, etc., with the money from the event raffles, but this, this was something much more.

This was a way not only to bless those in need, but to get others involved as well. At first I wanted to start a non-profit, but soon learned it was best to just to stick to a group of do-gooders that come together to hand out much needed necessities and food to those in need.

People donate clothes, hygiene products, feminine products, sleeping bags, shoes, jackets, and more to help bless others and I run all over picking up donations as much as I can. The best part about Faith Hope Love is that you can do what you can, when you can.

Anyone can donate, pick up donations, and help hand out the items on the days we schedule on our Facebook pages. My biggest goal with all of this is to inspire others to do what they can, when they can.

If each one of us does even a small part for others, we together can make a big change in our local communities right here in Northern Nevada. All it takes is love and generosity.

Families Helping Families in Need: Faith, Hope Love of Northern Nevada
We here at Faith Hope Love of Northern Nevada are a group of local do-gooders lead by Cassidy Davis and her 4 boys. We collect donations all year long to bless the local homeless and families in need right here in Northern Nevada. We are also the selected local organization for National Good Deeds Day held annually in April to prepare the homeless for summer as well as a big event to prepare the homeless for winter annually.

We also make Easter baskets for the kids in the local domestic abuse shelter and adopt as many kids as possible every year at Christmas. We purchase new socks, underwear, sleeping bags, blankets, hygiene products, feminine items, and more with monies donated as well as the money we raise at our local events and fundraisers we put on with our event business Northern Nevada HotSpot.

By coming together and each doing a small part, we are able to make a big difference and bless hundreds to thousands of lives every year.

You can follow us here on our Faith Hope Love of Northern Nevada page on Facebook.

Who We Are: Northern Nevada Hotspot
Northern Nevada HotSpot is owned and operated by myself, Cassidy Davis. I created Northern Nevada HotSpot to help bless those in our local Northern Nevada communities. I wanted a way to be able to help locals grow their businesses as well as a way to be able to raise money to help those in need. The events and the swag bags that we hand out at every event help us get local businesses, crafters, direct sales companies, charities, organizations, and more out to the public. They are a great way for us to connect the public to them in a fun and engaging way. We work with thousands of vendors, reps, business owners, charities, and more to help them grow their businesses and get their names out to the public.

I also created Northern Nevada HotSpot so that I would have a way to raise money for my local organization Faith Hope Love of Northern Nevada. We are a local group of do-gooders that help the homeless as well as local families in need right here in Northern Nevada. All of the raffles at every one of my events and fundraisers goes directly towards purchasing much needed necessities for those in need. We also collect necessities as well as monetary donations at all of our events and fundraisers.

You can follow our events and fundraisers here on our Facebook page.

While staying at the enchanting Renaissance recently, I had a view of the Truckee River, and a half dozen homeless folks dwelling there on her silent shores. They pretty much kept to themselves until a gregarious gentleman came along with something to eat that he passed out to one after another until they were all up and around on the riverbank, bargaining and trading with what little they had to offer. This was quite possibly their main meal for the day, and they were exhibiting great gladness in celebrating it.
