Carson City's state museums to re-open next week with limited hours
Carson City's wonderful state museums will re-open next week with limited hours due to budget cuts because of COVID-19. All social distancing rules apply.
Nevada State Museum in Carson City, (775) 687 4810. Re-opens June 17. It will be open Wednesday through Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Social distancing and masks required. Debit or credit card payment only for admissions and for store sales. Coin Press will be operating Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Museum store will open July 1. Debit or Credit card payments only.
Groups larger than 10 are not allowed unless pre-arranged. For information on arranging tours for larger groups, contact Museum Education at 775 687 4810 ext. 237.
Nevada State Railroad Museum Carson City (775) 687-6953 re-opens on June 19. Friday through Monday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Social distancing and masks required. The main museum will be open, and the annex will have scheduled tours.
