Catch the Nevada Day Parade live on the Web
You can watch the Nevada Day Parade on the internet live as it happens.
Viewers will be able to watch the parade online at www.NevadaDay.com beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30. We Shoot Video, a local media production company, will stream the Nevada Day Parade live via the internet.
“We did it last year, but it was last minute. Even though, with hardly any notice to viewers, we got over 750 hits," said We Shoot Video owner Keith Barnett. "This year we have stepped up production a little bit and are working to get the word out so folks who can't make it to Carson City or can't get out will be able to watch the parade. This is a great way for the loved ones of the parade participants who live outside the area to watch the festivities.”
Barnett plans to WebCast the parade each year, continue to step up production, and to add more of the other events to the schedule, such as the Beard Contest and the PineBox Derby, as funding is obtained.
“We have had virtually no monetary support as yet, although I'd like to send a special thanks to a couple of folks who have donated," Barnett said. "We need additional specific equipment to make this what I envision eventually, but we are going to provide the best production we can afford each year, with the ultimate goal being to create a top quality WebCast for people everywhere to watch this unique and special celebration.”
Barnett is looking for a couple of volunteers to help crew the broadcast, and is accepting donations for the ongoing project. If you are interested in helping out call (775) 297-4125 or email keith@weshootvideo.net.
