Early voting updates Friday for Carson City and Quad-County; Republican voters take lead in local elections

Happy Friday Carson City! Let’s take a look at how early voting is going in the Silver State.
This information is up to date as of 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 23.
In Carson City, 13,306 total ballots have been cast, which is 35.75 percent of active registered voters.
Of those ballot, 8,771 were returned by mail, which was 65.92 of the total turnout.
4,092 democrats mailed in their ballots, 2,811 republicans mailed in their ballots, and 1,868 ballots were mailed in by other party members.
In person, 4,535 voters came to cast their ballots at the Carson City community center.
Of those, 998 were cast by democrats, 2,721 were cast by republicans, and 816 were cast by other party members.
In Douglas county, 15,919 voters have cast their ballots, which is 41.15 percent of active registered voters.
In total, 11,270 ballots have been returned, which is 70 percent of the total turnout.
Of those, 3,906 were mailed by democrats, 4,973 were mailed by republicans, and 2,391 were mailed by other party members.
For in-person voting, 4,549 voters came to cast their ballots. Of those, 794 were democrats, 3,220 were republicans, and 635 were other party members.
In Lyon County, 11,526 voters have cast their ballots, which is 28 percent of registered voters. Of those, 7,107 were returned by mail, which is 61.66 percent of the total turnout.
Of those, 2,628 were returned by democrats, 2,730 were returned by republicans, and 1,749 were returned by other party members.
For in-person voting, 4,419 voters came to cast their ballots. Of those, 651 were cast by democrats, 2,976 were cast by republicans, and 792 were cast by other party members.
In Storey County, 1,386 ballots have been cast, which is 38 percent of the active registered voters. Of those, 733 were returned by mail, which is 53.25 percent of the total turnout.
Of ballots mailed, 294 were mailed by democrats, 261 were mailed by republicans, and 183 were mailed by other party embers.
For in-person voting, 648 voters have cast their ballots in person. Of those, 126 were cast by democrats, 410 were cast by republicans, and 112 were cast by other party members.
The Quad-County area totals are as follows:
Democrats: 13,489
Republicans: 20,102
Other party members: 8,546
Statewide, 516,378* votes have been cast which is 28.70 percent of total active voters. Of those, 304,448* have been mailed in versus 211,930 which were cast in person.
Democrats: 230,629
Republicans: 174,129
Other party members: 111,557
