Events around Carson City for Tuesday, Dec. 24

Heading into Christmas Eve, activities around the capital city are winding down, but the last minute shopping will continue, so prepare for that rush on the roadways and at local stores. It is the last day of the Holiday Craft Show at Carson Mall, so stop on by. There are no planned Muscle Powered fitness events scheduled. Christmas Eve church services are at First Presbyterian Church in Carson City and other places of worship around town. Here's what's ahead Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2019.

Here's what's happening Tuesday:

— Final Day of Carson Mall Holiday Craft Show. The annual Carson Mall Holiday Craft Show wraps up Christmas Eve Open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., you can visit the Carson Mall in Carson City, which has been turned into a winter wonderland. There are several vendors set up within the interior of the mall offering items from Christmas crafts and ornaments to jewelry and wind chimes and much more. A perfect place to get your last minute holiday shopping done.

— Capital City Arts Initiative Presents: Saludos Amigos. 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Capital City Arts Initiative presents its exhibition, "Saludos Amigos", by artist Justin Favela at the CCAI Courthouse Gallery. The exhibition will be in the gallery from now through January 29, 2020. The Courthouse is located at 885 E Musser Street, Carson City. The gallery is open Monday through Friday.

— Nevada Day art exhibit at Nevada Artists Association gallery at the Brewery Arts Center. The annual Nevada Day Art Exhibit at the Nevada Artists Association Art Gallery will be held through January 3, 2020. The NAA Gallery is located at the Brewery Art Center at 449 West King Street.

— Pole Fitness at Yaple's Dance Studio. 5 p.m. Pole is not what you think. It's for those looking for a fresh, challenging way to be fit. You will be fit unlike anything else. We work with everyone from the serious athlete ready to compete, to the casual student that is looking for a fun new activity to stay in shape. — Parents of Addicted Loved Ones hold meetings Tuesday evenings. 6 p.m. PAL provides education and support, at no cost, for family members (over 18) trying to save a son, daughter or family member from addiction to alcohol or drugs. By attending our meetings on Tuesdays, 6 p.m. at Partnership Carson City office at 1925 N Carson City St., you will give and receive support from others who are facing the same challenges you are.

— Empty Bowls, Open Studio. 6 to 8:30 p.m. Create an empty bowl to donate to charity, instruction will be offered to create and paint a bowl or create something on our own during open studio session. Open studio time at Ogres-Holm Pottery is free of charge and open to the public. 1215 South Carson Street.

— Swing Dance lessons at Yaple's Ballroom. 6 p.m. Looking for a date night idea? Want a night out with the friends! Grab the family and Swing on by Yapel's Ballroom! Come to our Swing Dancing Class. It is the best! It's great physical activity, great music, an easy going style that can help you connect with a partner easily. This is also a great style if you don't have a partner. When you come to class, single guys and gals rotate so that they get a chance to try the swing moves with a partner. If you bring a partner to class, you have the choice to rotate or stick with your partner! Every Tuesday at 6 pm and cost is just $10 to drop in! — First Presbyterian Church in Carson City to hold Candlelight Christmas Eve Service. 7 p.m. Come celebrate our Savior's birth during our Christmas Eve Service on Tuesday, Dec. 24 at 7:00 p.m. First Presbyterian Church is located at 115 N. Division Street. Childcare available. Call. 775-882-1032.

— St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Community: 4 p.m. family mass, 6 p.m. mass and 9 p.m. "Midnight Mass." Christmas Day services: 8 a.m., 10 a.m. and Noon in Spanish. 3000 N. Lompa Lane, Carson City.

— Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Christmas Eve services at 5 and 7 p.m. and on Christmas Day, 10 a.m. 1837 Mountain Street, Carson City.

— Christmas Services at Carson City's St. Paul's Lutheran Family. Join St. Paul's Lutheran family as we celebrate God's love, coming down among us through the birth of Jesus! 1201 N. Saliman Road, next to Carson High School.
Christmas Eve Candlelight Services 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Christmas Day Service, 11:00 a.m. Special music provided by local violinist Carol Seebach.

— Calvary Chapel Carson City. Christmas Eve Service, 6 to 8:30 p.m. 1635 Clearview.

— Christmas Eve service to be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Dayton. Come Join us at Calvary Baptist Church in Dayton to celebrate the birth of Jesus. There will be a service on Tuesday, Dec. 24, 6 p.m. Calvary Baptist Church is located at 4 Flowery Avenue, Dayton, Nev.

— St. Peter's Episcopal Church. Christmas Eve Children's Services, 5:30 p.m. Candles, Carols and Communion, 9 p.m. Christmas Day: Morning Prayer, 10 a.m. 314 North Division, Carson City.
