Registration underway for May 4 Carson City Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit golf tourney at Silver Oak
Registration is underway for the inaugural Carson City Sheriff's Office K9 Unit golf tournament happening May 4 at the Silver Oak Golf Course in Carson City.
The tournament will be scramble style with teams of four competing for first place prizes and bragging rights. Carson City Toyota will give away a car to anyone that makes a hole-in-one, said organizer Sgt. Darin Riggin. There will also be prizes for winners of the longest drive, closest to the pin, along with a 50/50 raffle opportunity. Lunch will be provided.
All proceeds go entirely to support your local K9 Unit. Registration can be done online here.
To register a team, those interested can also go to the front counter of the Carson City Sheriff’s Office, 911 East Musser Street, where registration can be paid with cash or check. Registration is $480 per team and will be collected when you visit the Sheriff’s Office to reserve your spot. Raffle opportunities and other K9 merchandise will be available the day of the event.
There are also sponsorship opportunities for advertisement of your business or program. Individual hole tee-boxes can be purchased for advertisement space during the tournament at a rate of $500 per hole. Hole advertisement spaces are limited and will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Please contact Sgt. Darin Riggin (information below) if you’re interested in purchasing a tee-box space or have any other questions.
For additional information regarding CCSO K9, or if you’d like to know how you can donate to the K9 unit, please contact Sgt. Darin Riggin at 775-283-7889 driggin@carson.org, or visit the Sheriff’s Office main building during regular business hours.
