Carson High School NJROTC raises more than $3,000 for Carson City Angel Tree Project
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Tue, 12/24/2019 - 12:23pmCARSON CITY — The Carson High School Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps, also known as NJROTC, program raised more than $3,000 for the local Angel Tree gift program. CHS NJROTC has raised money for the charity for the past three years.
Carson City School District hires Director of Student Support Services

Carson City community donates 159 winter coats for kids as part of Carson Nugget fundraiser

Carson High’s Girls Cross Country Team earn Academic State Champion honors

Carson High School takes precautions against potential external threat, lockout lifted

There was at no time a threat to students and it was a precautionary measure, said Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong.

Carson City schools see hike in graduation rates for fourth straight year

The Santa Parade was created in 2007 and was always the Saturday after the Silver and Snowflake festival originating at Telegraph Square to bring awareness to the existing businesses in the area.

These individuals have a severe and profound physical and neurological disability, cannot care for themselves, need full-time assistance, and are some of the kindest human beings in the world, many of whom are students in the Carson City School District and at CHS. Each year, students in the CHS Comprehensive Life Skills program make crafts to sell at the annual CHS Craft Fair and give as gifts.

Carson City School Board to discuss potential solution to middle school overcrowding

A discussion and possible action will be on the table for proposed capital projects as supported by the facilities master plan committee, including construction of classrooms at Eagle Valley Middle School intended to alleviate student overcrowding at Carson Middle School, in an estimated amount not to exceed $8.2 million, which will be financed by the sale of the 2019B school bonds.
